‘You Said, We Did’ – Presentation of the new Draft Document

The future of services for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and/ or Disability within Lewisham

Throughout the year we have been speaking with parent/ carers and professionals to hear your thoughts and ideas for the future of services for children and young people with special educational needs and/ or disabilities and their families within the London Borough of Lewisham. We have also asked the views of children and young people with a range wide of needs what they felt they needed to help them.

As a partnership across health, social care and education we have been working on a new Local Area Partnership Special Educational Needs and Disability Strategy 2020-2023. We have listened and have considered what parents/ carers, children and young people and professionals have told us about what is needed to improve services and have used these to help us write the new strategy.

We would like to invite parent/ carers and young people to an event to share the new draft partnership strategy, 2020 -2023. At this event you will have the opportunity to comment on the draft before it is finalised. Also, we would like to hear from you on how you want to be informed about how we are doing over the next 3 years.

There will be two events available for you to choose from. If you are interested in attending any of these events, please email Cheriece Nelson at cheriece.nelson@lewisham.gov.uk or telephone on 0203 049 1430.

If you have any communication or accessibility needs that we need to be aware of for this event please let us know.
