The COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns dramatically affected people’s access to health and social care services. Prior to the change of service provider in April 2020, Healthwatch Lewisham’s priorities were mental health, access to services, and experiences of disadvantaged groups. The pandemic meant that we needed to focus on short term priorities linked to the needs of our population regarding COVID-19. We carried out research projects focusing on experiences of COVID-19, access to services for those who are digitally excluded and the emotional wellbeing of children and young people.
Now that lockdown restrictions were lifted on 19 July, we are reaching out to residents to understand what issues matter the most to you now and what should we be focusing on over the next 18 months. We want to hear about your experiences using health and social care services in the last 12 months and what you consider to be the top priorities for Lewisham residents.
Healthwatch Lewisham is your health and social care champion. We make sure NHS leaders and other decision-makers hear your voice and use your feedback. We treat your personal data as confidential and protect it accordingly. We will always make sure that your data is protected and treated securely. Read our full Privacy Statement here.
