Get Winter Strong – Book Your Flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations

Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are now available across Lewisham and getting vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself and those around you this winter.

World Mental Health Day 2025 Celebration – Friday 10th October

Arts Network and Wild Cat Wilderness are joining up to celebrate World Mental Health Day and you are invited.

  • Free nature weaving workshop
  • Campfire and snacks
  • Unveiling of a community bench in Wild Cat’s beautiful orchard, with mosaics created by Arts Network members

Free community event – Understanding and managing high blood pressure – Book your place – Forest Hill Pools, 22 October

Residents in Lewisham are invited to a free community event to learn more about high blood pressure – what it means, how to measure it and what you can do to keep it under control.

The Understanding High Blood Pressure event takes place on Wednesday 22 October 2025, from 9:30am to 1:30pm at Studio 2, Forest Hill Pools, Dartmouth Road, SE23 3HZ (Open in Google Maps).

At the event you can:

  • Have your blood pressure checked
  • Learn how to measure your blood pressure
  • Understand what is normal and what is not
  • Receive dietary and exercise advice
  • Meet others with high blood pressure
  • Speak to the experts

Refreshments will be provided, all are welcome!

Celebrate Black History Month at The Green Man

Book your place and come along on Wednesday 22nd October, 5–7pm to The Green Man for a special Black History Month celebration. This year’s theme is “Standing Firm in Power and Pride” – an evening of music, crafts, workshops, quizzes and prizes.

The event will feature stalls, activities, free food and massages, plus a special performance from award-winning singer and actor Lorna Gee (Sutara Gayle). On the day you can learn about the NHS App, blood pressure and how to look after yourself this winter.

The event is free and open to all, but booking is essential as spaces are limited. Reserve your place: call 0800 0285 700 or complete the booking form.
