Evening Anxiety course – 4 weekly session for parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities and SEN living in Lewisham

This is a 4 week FREE course covering 4 difference areas of anxiety. The course is for parents and carers of young people with additional needs and disabilities living in Lewisham.

You can pick whichever sessions you wish and sign up at any time.

Week 1 – Wednesday 24th March 2021 – 7.30 to 8.30 pm


This session will look at habits and what they are for with a particular focus on habits that can be detrimental to managing anxiety and those that are more useful in managing anxiety.

Week 2 – Wednesday 31st March 2021 – 7.30 to 8.30 pm

Panic attacks

This session will focus on what panic attack are, how we can cope with them and how we can manage and challenge feelings of panic in general.

Week 3 – Wednesday 7th April 2021 – 7.30 to 8.30 pm – during Easter break


In this session we will look more closely at fear and phobias what these are how aspects of anxiety we’ve already learnt about worsen them and think about managing phobias in the form of exposure.

Week 4 – Wednesday 14th April 2021 – 7.30 to 8.30 pm – during Easter break

Social phobia/ anxiety

We’ll be exploring what this specific phobia relates to and what it is not and thinking about how we can use conversations to challenge the fears associated with social situations, so we validate feelings and facilitate facing fears.

The workshop will be delivered on ZOOM – please download the App prior to the event.  We will send you the Zoom link the day before the event.
