From the Lewisham Educational Psychology Team

The EP team has been working hard to meet needs across all our settings and to set up new ways of remote working. Our priority is to support settings and families with any COVID / lockdown related issues that are arising.

The document “Educational Psychology Team summer term offer to schools and early years – April 2020” outlines our offer for this term, which includes an easy access phone line for parents and carers (EP Connect)  and  COVID related Critical Incident support to settings.

Next week we will start offering EP Connect which is an easy access phone-line service direct for parents and carers to link with the Lewisham Educational Psychology Team. We are here to discuss any concerns about education, learning at home, and emotional wellbeing and will be available on Monday afternoon 2pm until 5pm and Thursday mornings 9.30 until 12.30, starting from the beginning of May.

We have also written a number of helpful documents as outlined in the summer term offer and are in the process of creating some useful video clips for parents, teaching staff and children and young people to support them with their emotional well being during the pandemic. All of these are available on the Services for Schools Site, which can be found here: http://schoolsservices.lewisham.gov.uk/Services/3897. Please use these resources in any way that you feel is helpful.
